The position comes from a survey, so expect to be within a few metres rather than standing at the trunk.
Is this the one?
What to check when you get there.
- It should be a common sycamore.
- It's 10.2 m round the trunk, about 7 people holding hands round it. That's the easiest check there is.
- It's part of a laid hedge, so look along the hedge line for a trunk bent over and grown along the ground.
- The position came from a surveyor, so it can be a few metres out. If two big trees are close together, the girth usually settles it.
